The North
American Association of Fisheries Economists (NAAFE)
welcomes you to join us in Halifax, Nova Scotia for our
tenth biennial Forum. Forum organizers Megan Bailey and
Peter Tyedmers of Dalhousie University, and Tony Charles
of Saint Mary’s University, join us in encouraging wide
participation from all perspectives with interests in the
economics of fisheries, seafood trade and aquaculture.
Academics, industry and government representatives, along
with those from foundations, agencies and NGOs are welcome
to attend and share perspectives.
Below is a
list of themes and topics for consideration. Please plan
to attend and present your best work on these, or related
fisheries, seafood trade, and aquaculture economics
topics.

The conference
theme “Frontiers and Futures” will serve as a framework
for cross-cutting submissions. Sub-themes here will
include topics like Indigenous fisheries, EBM, climate
change, and gender. When potential delegates submit
abstracts, they will have a choice of submitting
exclusively to a traditional theme and related sub-theme
(for example, Aquaculture: fish feed), or also indicating
that they would like their abstract considered for
inclusion in a cross-cutting Frontiers and Futures theme.
