than a decade
ago to
coordinate the
efforts to build
a global
integrated
meteo-marine and
oceanographic
system at
different space
and time scales,
from
observations to
data management
and services.
JCOMM
coordinates real
time global
ocean data
collection
programs,
develops the
interfaces with
the WMO
Information
System for
seamless and
interoperable
delivery of
meteorological,
meteo-marine and
oceanographic
information,
defines good
practices for
ocean and
meteo-marine
services and
applications,
and provides a
major
infrastructure
for GOOS.
